PROVOX

Provox® tracheostoma plasters were the first disposable tracheostoma plasters on the market, and have been optimised over the years to result in a wide range of plasters for various requirements. Provox® tracheostoma plasters are available in 4 shapes (oval, round, annular reinforced and indentation braced) and 3 adhesive strengths / levels of skin-friendliness (FlexiDerm – strong adhesive, Regular - normal adhesive, OptiDerm – skin-friendly). All Provox® tracheostoma plasters are disposable and have a 22-mm connector.

PROVOX Regular base plate

The Provox Regular base plate is a standard tracheostoma plaster with normal adhesive strength for normal skin. It is available in an oval or a round version. The manufacturer gives an average durability of 1 day.
PROVOX FlexiDerm

The Provox FlexiDerm tracheostoma plaster is made of a flexible material, and has a high adhesive strength. It is available in a round or oval version, and has an average durability of 2 days. The FlexiDerm is recommended for irregularly configured tracheostomas and physical activity.
PROVOX OptiDerm

The Provox OptiDerm is a tracheostoma plaster that is suitable for direct post-operative provision of the fresh tracheostoma. It is also suitable for sensitive and irritated skin. The adhesive strength is average. The OptiDerm is available in an oval or a round version.
PROVOX XtraBase

The Provox XtraBase has a reinforced convex inner ring that can be of benefit with deep and irregular tracheostomas. The reinforced XtraBase tracheostoma plaster can also be advantageous if using a tracheostoma valve. The adhesive strength is high.
PROVOX StabiliBase

The Provox StabiliBase tracheostoma plaster was developed for patients with a deep tracheostoma who wish to use a tracheostoma valve. The basic shape is rectangular, and it has a convex bend that fits in a groove-shaped tracheostoma. The 4 braces from the 22-mm connector to the edge of the tracheostoma distribute the pressure over the plaster edge when using a finger for talking. If using a tracheostoma valve, the reinforced central part of the plaster prevents the plaster from working loose from the inner adhesive edge as the result of movement when talking.
